July: Nessie’s Mess

It all starts innocently enough. Nessie heads into her kitchen with ambitious plans, a mixing bowl, and what appears to be at least a passing familiarity with the concept of baking. But if you think there are cookies in the oven, you don’t know Nessie.

The dear has a particular talent for turning perfectly ordinary afternoons into something considerably more chaotic. A little flour gets spilled. A little dough goes somewhere it probably shouldn’t. An outfit that seemed perfectly practical at the beginning of the afternoon becomes increasingly inconvenient. Before long, the cookies have become a secondary concern entirely.

Did the baking ever get finished? Well, that depends on what you consider a proper biscuit.
